Are these treatments painful? Tolerance of pain varies from person to person. No anesthetics are required and many patients describe the discomfort as a warming sensation. What results can I expect? A gradual decrease in overall redness and flushing can be expected. You will see smoother skin, smaller pore size and fading of sunspots. Rosacea, a common vascular problem, will show significant improvement. How soon will I see results? Five treatments are usually performed for optimal results. Improvements are gradual and will accelerate after each additional session. Change in skin tone and a smoother skin will be experienced as soon as the first treatment. Each treatment will take approximately 15-30 minutes. What areas can be treated? Although NaturaLight can be used on any part of the body it gives maximum results on the face, chest, neck, and back of the hands. As treatment is based on light absorption in melanin and in hemoglobin, treatments are most efficient in patients with light skin, who are not sun-tanned at the time of treatment.
